Dorothy Carlin

Principal

Named a “Top Entrepreneur” by St. Louis Small Business Monthly and a “Most Influential Business Woman” by the St. Louis Business Journal, Dorothy understands that creativity and insight are the key components to problem solving. This sense of conviction led her to establish her own strategy practice in 2008.

From Drake University’s J-School to Washington University’s Olin B-School to each piece of research she uncovers, Dorothy is a continuous learner. While running Simply Strategy, she also supplies insight to clients ranging from philanthropic foundations to Fortune 500 companies through consulting, facilitation and moderating. With her Insight Professional Certification (IPC) and extensive client-service experience, Dorothy plays a crucial role in crafting strategy for clients across the health and healthcare spectrum.

As an Olin Board Fellow, she began her service on the YWCA St. Louis Board of Directors and now serves as Vice Chair. Dorothy previously served on the boards of the St. Louis Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and the Community Service Public Relations Council (CSPRC). But perhaps her proudest titles are “Coach” and “Mom” to her two kids.
