Early career opportunity for an individual with a passion for people and interest in public health

Updated: Mar 13, 2023

Data and Project Coordinator

We are a health and well-being consulting and research firm. Because of our deep expertise in the health ecosystem, we understand the context of our clients’ challenges (the big strategic issues, as well as everyday operational problems). Therefore, we efficiently provide insights and guidance that enable organizations to recognize clearer choices, leading to better outcomes in the highly complex, interoperable healthcare environment.

We are seeking a candidate for the following position:

The Data and Project Coordinator will assist Project Managers, Researchers, and Strategists with many aspects of evaluation, market research, analysis, and project coordination across a variety of project types. They will be actively involved in coordination of data collection efforts and all forms of qualitative and quantitative analysis. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, survey design and analysis, report and proposal writing, data presentation, vendor management and project coordination. Both strong analysis and detail-oriented project coordination skills are required to be successful – so a strong “thinker” and “doer.”

In addition to client service and analysis, candidates should be able to work both as a member of a team and independently. Building strong relationships internally and externally is essential to achieving the objectives and succeeding in this role. The Data and Project Coordinator will work on multiple projects simultaneously and should be prepared to pivot between them frequently. This job is different every day and requires someone who can quickly adapt to change (and accepts a little bit of entrepreneurial chaos). Must exude creativity in problem solving along with flexibility and a desire to learn. At all times in client and team interactions this individual operates professionally, within the team structure, and represents themselves as a member of Simply Strategy’s team appropriately.

A degree and/or background in research, marketing, business, psychology, anthropology, communications or public health and one year of professional work experience preferred.

Compensation is commensurate with experience but the range is $45,000-$65,000; benefits include profit sharing, retirement plan, paid holidays and vacation, employer paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, phone allowance, and a flexible schedule as well as fun, collegial co-workers.

The position is based in our midtown St. Louis office although we work a hybrid of remote and onsite.

Required early career experience:

Performance measurement and monitoring capability

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to generate relevant and understandable reports

  • Experience managing project workflow effectively

  • Experience using Qualtrics or other survey platform, SPSS or other statistical software a bonus

  • Data analysis, synthesis, and interpretation capacity

  • Exceptional organizational skills, quick uptake, the ability to anticipate needs and problems to support both clients and team members

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally, virtually and in writing

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and to work successfully with all employee levels, regardless of background and perspective

  • Ability to augment the team's thinking and identify the opportunities to challenge the status quo professionally and diplomatically
